I have a new niece! Rebecca Lial Simons was born to my sister and her husband yesterday at 7:55pm in North Carolina. Healthy (if small) girl -- 5lbs, 18.5 inches -- but mother and baby are both doing fine.

After a wonderful Christmas week spent with the Interesting Girl and family up in Crystal Lake, the two of us went to Atlanta for New Year's Week fun and excitement.
